Does black nail polish look unprofessional?

I love it and use it all the time. My boss doesn't care but I deal with children and parents every day.

What do you think?Does black nail polish look unprofessional?
It looks like your working on presenting a statement on your lifestyle rather than trying to look professional. If your focused on making a statement about how good you are at what you do then focus on presenting that image. People will remember you for the black nail polish not the good job. You choose.Does black nail polish look unprofessional?
I say..... yes, it does look unprofessional.
Ahh, it depends on your personality... if you're punky and nice who cares... if your dark and goth, then yeah... maybe only since you're working with kids, other wise who gives a rats patuti
as with ANY color, as long as it isn't chipped or your nails aren't ragged, i don't see anything wrong with it, it's very fashionable right now

i don't think most people would have a problem with it as long as it's done like other colors would be -- i mean, not in a 'punk' look
I think as long as it's not all chipped its just fine. But I think that with every other color of polish.
yes
Depends on what you do for a living....................
I think it really depends on the profession.
dont know and dont care.

i wear it all the time.
I would say yes. Because black nail polish gives people a gothic look.
the simple answer is yes, it is unprofessional. I'd question someone caring for children that wears black nail polish.
I love seeing women with a light skin tone wearing dark nails (fingers and toes)

rock on baby
no i don't think it does, as long as u don't wear a lot of black clothes.
Yeah. From an adult's perspective it is. I love it though.
If you work in a music/video store...no.

if you work in a hospital...yes

IndigoWhat color nail polish?
Maybe a dark purple, I have a friend who looks like what you're describing and i recommended her this colour and she looked awesome!

A nude pink would also look very nice!

Hope this helped xxxx
i would wear a royal purple or teal greenish blue
pink with a sparkly topcoat, both from collection 2000.

What color nail polish is in style?

Since we're still in the summer months I'll only tell you the trend for that and not the fall....

Think of juicy fruity colors. Berries are good. If you have a light skin tone, Fushia is really summery!

Another person said French manicure. That's still popular. If you're into being ';different'; try a French manicure with a neon tip like green (that's what I have right now).

Oh, and despite some people suggesting black, that was out SEVERAL seasons ago. It's sooooo over!

stardustWhat color nail polish is in style?
Black and redWhat color nail polish is in style?
bright neon colors. Dark colors were more fall and winter. But the brighter, fun colors are better for summer. Black's mostly is always in style though.
I hear that french stuff is still in style

as for me I wear different colors cuz Im weird like that.
Vibrant, candy shades like bubblegum or fuchsia. At least for the summer. Get cream finishes, not frosted. And cut nails short so they don't look tacky.
Black and darksexy red :)

purple to ! :)
HOT PINK ; GLOD AND BLACK DARK COLORS AND WHITES
umm blue =) im wearing blue on my toe nails lol
maroon red and purple
  • steroid cream
  • Am I the only woman who hates wearing nail polish?

I ONLY LIKE IT ON MY TOES :)Am I the only woman who hates wearing nail polish?
I've never been a fan of nail polish myself because while it looks good when it is first applied, it soon starts chipping or flaking off. I like to work with my hands so keeping beautifully manicured nails is a waste of time and effort for me. I'll ruin the job as soon as I pick up a screwdriver.

Another thing about nail polish is that it ages women's hands. It looks good on a young woman because she has not yet developed liver spots and prominent veins but for an older woman, it really makes her hands look older.Am I the only woman who hates wearing nail polish?
I hate wearing nail polish on my fingernails- it seems like I can't go an hour without it chipping or otherwise becoming marred in some way, so it's just never worth it. I feel like I have to be uber careful with my hands.

Toenail polish, on the other hand- I love the stuff. Probably because it's farther away so I don't have to worry about it being perfect, you know? And it's just so pretty, dotting my toes and decorating my feet.
thats ok, you dont have to wear it of you dont want to. I personally enjoy wearing nailpolish and I think i have gotten it down to a science such that I can do it almost as well as a manicurist lol! Even if im not wearing polish, i like to take care of my nails and cuticles because i feel like ppl see yoru hands a lot and you want them to look neat. I dunno. ITs just something I do,

But I can understand why some women dont like wearing nailpolis. It can take a long time to apply it properly. And you have to re-apply after like a week and a half. If you go to a formal party or something i recomend getting a manicure however. Cracked cuticles and uneven nails dont look good with an evening dress.
Oooh, I LOVE it! I always have my toes polished. I hate to have naked toes. I do hate doing my fingernails, though, because they usually chip the next day. If I do them at all, I do a sheer that won't show the chips so easily.
I love wearing nail polish but I hate mucking about with taking off and reapplying it and waiting for it to dry...blah blah and all that. So i tend to wear it very rarely.
Of course you're not. I'm sure many women hate it. I can't say I hate it but I don't like it enough to do it. I've worn it once or twice as a kid and that's it.
Yes because this sexy boy love it if you use it wisely so yea girls and don't use too much make up because i can't see you..umm actually You can't SEE Me...lol(John Cena right here)
no youre not. i dont particularly like it much either. its takes too much time to apply and it always starts chipping off soon after you put it on. its not worth the time taken and its doesnt really look all that great either
I'm not really a fan of wearin it either. If I do, it's clear, not colored polish.
You can file your own nails and use baby oil to lubricate them. Your nails will be very healthy.
No not at all. More women have bare nails than polished nails anyway. Or they just get the tips done.

Why do you hate it so much ?
I never wear it. I don't like the look of it, or the smell.
You don't like? Don't wear it.
    No.

    I'm not a huge fan.
I'm not a fan of it, it makes my nails feel heavy.

Does wearing nail polish constantly weaken your fingernails?

it does and polish makes your nails yellow and dry so just try to space out your times when u polish and make sure you manicure them every two weeks personally and keep them buffedDoes wearing nail polish constantly weaken your fingernails?
Depends on the type of nail polish!Does wearing nail polish constantly weaken your fingernails?
    no
nail polishes and nail polish removers can dry, irritate, and weaken nails, making them susceptible to breakage,

warned women of childbearing age to avoid using nail polish that contains a chemical that has been shown to cause birth defects in laboratory animals
it may, it isnt good for ur nails though
    no it actualy strengthens them
No, as long as youre not getting the cheap kind, it is the nail polish remover that weakens your nails.

Is Bold Nail Polish In or out?

Or should i stick to light and neutral hues?Is Bold Nail Polish In or out?
bold is in. remember to keep your hands moisturized because it draws attention to your hands.

use neutral colors if you are going somewhere formal unless what ur wearing looks good with it.

oh and for bold colors use white nail polish then the color to make it look betterIs Bold Nail Polish In or out?
    http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?s鈥?/a>
I love bold colors. My nails have been naked the last few days missing my red nail polish. I really like navy's as well.
For spring/summer, I think light colors are best. Otherwise, it's too heavy; feels weighed down.
It should have been out when it was in because it looks horrible
    Both =]
