Nail polish can discolor your nails, and also prevents your nails from ';breathing'; naturally. I personally do not use nail polish all the time, but only on special occasions. If you prefer to use daily, it may be good to take a break now and then.
Some people use a nail buffer to shine their nails without polish, which allows the nails to breathe. I have heard arguments for and against, that buffing either weakens nails or that it increases circulation and promotes nail growth

actually its neither of the other answers, the small spheres in the nailpolish are kept in there for mixing as well as they are made of a metal like lead to keep the nailpolish from going bad.

My nail polish always peels off?
I use the Sally Hansen miracle grow as a base coat and a top coat because it is clear, and then for color (in between these coats), I use the Sally Hansen Diamond Strength NO CHIP!! This isn't working. Within minutes it chips and then peels away off of the entire fingernail at the same time. Is it the brand or what? How do I prevent this? And yes, I do allow all coats to dry thoroughly before going on with another coat. %26lt;3My nail polish always peels off?
try making your layers thinner and use only a few strokes.
plus, the more layers you use, the thicker the polish is, making it easier to chip and especially peel away from the entire nail at once.
unless you are painting with red, try skipping the base coat. you might find you need fewer layers of colour.
if you make it a day or two, try touching up with another top coat. you will notice that it has worn thinner at the end of your nails by a few days!

its the top coat that is your problem. although it makes your nails shiny and great to look at, the chemical breakdown of ALL top coat/clear coats will have a chemical reaction with any nail coat. it peels all the time- no matter what you do. it might be fun for some people to peel it off, even if it's not for you, but it is terrible for your nail's health. sally hansen is a good brand, and you should just use that polish. sometimes you don't even need to use a base coat! the polish itself works well enough. good luck! %26lt;3 ;)

I ask my Manicurist to use a Silvery White, (it's kind of Pearl) on the tips instead of White. This looks sooooooo nice. I always get Pink on my toes. Sometimes I get a ';Barbie'; Hot Pink with Gold shimmers in the polish %26amp; sometimes I get a more natural Light or Dark Pink.

You can paste the albumin (the white part) from another egg onto the crack and hope that helps. When it dries, it will seal the egg from bacteria, but if it is already contaminated, it will not hatch. It is almost hopeless to try an save it, but if you want to try, good luck!

The problem with all the 'makeup for men' features on TV is that they try to put lots of foundation on dudes and that doesn't even look good on women, and they also try to put it on super-butch dudes rather than more normal-looking men.
Basically, what works for Johnny Depp won't necessarily work for David Beckham (for example). I'm all for encouraging men to play around with makeup though!

Formula 2 is for nails that are weak, peeling, and won't grow. Once your nails are strong, you can switch to Formula 1 to keep your nails from getting too brittle.

Use SALLY HANSON AGE CORRECT nail polish. Formula 2 is for nails that are weak, peeling, and won't grow. Once your nails are strong, you can switch to Formula 1 to keep your nails from getting too brittle.
Another vote for Sally Hanson, the Hard as Nails should work well for you.

i have had warts for as long as i could remember. i was looking on the web and it said that putting nail polish removed them. i was wondering if anyone else knew if this was safe and effectiveIs it safe to put nail polish on hand warts?

Pour a generous amount of nail polish remover on the spot %26amp; blot carefully with clean paper towel. Repeat until the polish is gone. The blotting is very important!!!! Once the nail polish is removed, add more remover to the spot %26amp; blot, so you can get rid of the stain that the polish will leave.
If that doesn't work, go to the carpet store where your carpeting was purchased, %26amp; tell them about the nail polish accident. Ask if they have a white carpet sample, that matches your carpeting. If so, using a utility knife/box cutter, %26amp; cut a piece of the carpet sample, to match the size of the spot where the nail polish is. Then cut out the ruined section of carpeting, in a square, then fit the new piece in place. A carpet installer, will use seaming tape %26amp; a special iron, to secure the new piece of carpet. Depending on what he charges, you can glue it down yourself, or use a piece of double face tape, to keep the carpet piece in place.
I think I read to use a hair blower and warm it to get it softer and gentle work on it. But Im sure there will be some stain. So then need clean it.
Another idea : is to take a piece that fits size the bad one from closet ,if any. Cut away bad and fit snuggly new piece matching the nap direction. I did this on a lamp bulb burn, many years ago. The new piece will need glued in. If afraid tackel this then ask a carpet man if he can do it.

Carpet - Use nail polish remover to blot the nail polish out. Using too much will eat through the backing. Wash the spot with a mild detergent and warm water after that.

Paint thinner and or nail polish remover...on time my daughters friend spilled allot of nail polish on her rug and we got it out with nailpolish remover and laquer thinner it smells nasty so open windows, then we washed the residue off with soap and water.
Try nailpolish remover.

They're all the same, really. They all look good, and they all chip. I like WetN'Wild that WalMart sells, cuz it's affordable. But O.P.I. is the brand that is carried in most salons.
I really like the N.Y.C. brand... It's cheaper than Sally Hansen but it's still good quality nail polish.
I like Ulta nailpolish. It goes on nice, and I just love it. There are so many different color choices and aside from OPI its my favorite

i have used alot of polish there is a new one out there its called ';sparitual'; it comes in a lot colors and stays on really well. opi is ok but not the best. and i use chanel too and i love it but it is costly and the sparitual is only $3 so i wouldn't mind a little more cost for it to last better. and i also think you need a good base coat and top coat, it helps the polish stay longer
