Nail Polish Remover Spilled on Carpet?

My sister spilled nail polish remover on our light brown carpet last night and now it's been bleached. It's like an orange-ish color. My mom is seriously mad and grounded both of us until we're about 100. Is there ANY way to remove the stain without removing the carpet?

Could we like dye it or anything?

You can get some fabric paint and redye the section that had the color removed. You will have to do it strand by strand and get several colors to do a best match.Nail Polish Remover Spilled on Carpet?
I hope your mother kept a bit of the extra carpet so it can be patched since she has bleached- not stained the color. You may need to redecorate or get a rug. Most carpet is nylon and is tough to dye back.
nail polish is acetone and it washed the dye away, so the stain is permanent. Find a nice throw rug, or call a local carpet place and ask their opinion.
