Is it safe to paint my turtle's nails with nail polish?

~Yes, it's perfectly safe. Just make sure the lipstick matches the nail polish. There's nothing more appalling than a turtle making a bad fashion statement. Is it safe to paint my turtle's nails with nail polish?
The fumes would be very toxic to your turtle. He's small, and his lungs are, too. It's not a fume he can run away from, and it doesn't take much to make a reptile extremely ill. It can be fatal in younger animals.

IMHO, it's a very bad idea.

(Get a barbie if you want to play dress up. The turtle is a live animal, and deserves proper care which isn't life threatening.)

I hope this has been helpful, and good luck with your pet.Is it safe to paint my turtle's nails with nail polish?
Unless the polish specifically says it is safe for turtles of your age and species, then it may not be safe.

Turtle nails are very similar to human nails, but turtle skin and lungs are very different, and they are sensitive to chemicals we are resistant to.
Yes, you paint your nails don't you? While I don't think regular polish will hurt them, there is a brand of animal polish that is recommended by vets.
I have 2 turtles. I love them WAY TOO MUCH to EVER put any chemical on them that wouldn't benefit them. Nail Polish is for people. There is a reason some of the bottles say ';We don't test on animals';.
Safe? Probably.

Smart? Doubtful.

Useful? Probably not to the turtle.

Side note: Never, ever, paint a turtle's shell. It will kill them.
Only if you want your turtle to die of embarrassment. Turtles should be handled only when necessary. Painting its claws is hardly necessary.
Yes you can, and by the way can you paint mine next?
Stop abusing the poor turtle....!!!!
It's fine but... i suggest u to um... use polish just for turtles. dont paint the shell tho XD
